When do we need to use a RF Terminator?

Published by admin 2023-08-22

Coaxial RF termination loads / RF Terminator are used for the end connection of coaxial transmission systems and are generally used for system testing of RF signal transmission. The coaxial termination has a characteristic impedance appropriate to the transmission cable and is the energy absorbing element in the system, with a characteristic impedance of 50 ohms and 75 ohms.

In many applications, there are unused coaxial ports, which can lead to signal leakage and crosstalk from neighboring equipment.

When this problem occurs, the general solution is to access a separate coaxial RF termination load/RF Terminator ,  but the use of adapters with termination loads can solve all the problems in one step, without having to worry about the loss of terminals or missed and other hidden dangers.
