At ZOMWAVE, we maintain a comprehensive REACH compliance program to help customers with their green aspirations. We strive to have accurate and available material content data on all of our products. When data is not yet available, customer requests will be given top priority.
Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 is commonly referred to as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals). The REACH regulation became effective on June 1, 2007 with the objective to improve protection of human health and the environment from exposure to chemicals. Under REACH, there is an obligation to ensure that articles do not contain any of the substances on the REACH Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) Candidate list in concentrations greater than 0.1% by weight. SVHCs are substances that may cause cancer or other serious health or environmental effects and thus face potential restriction or outright bans. The SVHC list is updated with additional substances at approximately every six months, thus product declarations must indicate the applicable SVHC release date.
We work with our supply chain to routinely collect and analyze this data which enables us to determine the state of compliance for each item we sell. As part of our process integration efforts, we are currently redesigning the way this data can be found on-line so that it is consistent across all brands.
